Vision FC have secured a place in the semifinals of the Division One Super Cup following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars.

Frank Duku’s 74th-minute strike, just three minutes after his introduction in the game, proved to be the decisive moment in the match, giving us the crucial three points.

The win, coupled with results elsewhere in the group, confirmed our progression to the next stage of the competition.

The victory was made even more impressive by the fact that the team was reduced to ten men late in the game after Kingsley Appiah’s second booking. However, the boys, guided by Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang, managed to hold on to the slender lead to secure the vital win.

Appiah replaced Godfred Boakye in the starting lineup for today’s game due to the latter’s injury in the opening game, but had to endure a torrid time, receiving his marching orders from the game with a little over ten minutes more to play.

With a place in the semifinals confirmed, we will now turn our attention to the final group match against Techiman Heroes.

While the outcome of that game will determine our finishing position in the group, it doesn’t affect our chances of progression, and the team can now focus on preparing for the knockout stages of the tournament.
